Note to Coaches:
Because of the increased number of preliminary competitors and the limited amount of space, each team will have two preliminary rounds on Friday, as opposed to three.  The rounds will be staggered, and consideration will be given to have competitors argue, for example, round 1 & round 3, or round 2 & round 4, 12/13 teams each round.  It will give students some down time between rounds, but allows for maximum team numbers.  It is important to note that the rounds start earlier than they have in the past.

Subsequently, as soon as Tony has reached fifty teams, and within a week of the competition, I am suggesting we do a random pairing. If this can be done early, it can be adjusted when and if there are last minute changes. For instance, if a team drops, or no shows, we will take the first alternate team registered and plug them in.  This way the competition will be held with fifty teams, no matter last minute changes, and we won't be pairing at 1am Thursday night, or 8am Friday morning.  Oversight by any and all coaches is welcome, and the pairing can be monitored by the Law School's Moot Court Board or other impartial entity. Please watch the email address you list on your registration form for further pairing information.

All teams are invited to a dinner on Friday night, hosted by the Admissions Office of Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. It will be at the law school.

The last point is that there will be a disclosure for competitors to initial ( at check in) to permit our media photographer to take photographs for the website and organization purposes.  Please advise your teams of this simple, but necessary, paperwork. If a student does not wish their photograph be placed on the TUMCA website or be used in any training TUMCA originates, they must indicate this clearly on the disclosure.  The photos are not for sale, or for use for anything other than TUMCA designated purposes.
